Responsible for the management of a private data center comprised of physical and virtual appliance, operating systems, and networking software, and customer related applications.
Mandatory:
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related technical discipline• Significant experience administering storage are networks, NAS, NFS, CIFS, and vSAN• Significant experience administering Linux distribution, such as RedHat Enterprise/CentOS• Significant experience administering Windows Systems, including Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy• Significant experience with current virtualization technologies, ideally VMWare, to include vSphere, ESXi, VSAN• Experience configuring web-servers, such as Apache/Nginx• Experience developing, designing and presenting network diagrams, flow charts, and project schedules• Experience with physical and virtual networking, switches, and knowledge of protocols, such as DNS, SSH, HTTP, and TLS• Experience managing a data center through an Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
Optional:
• Experience writing scripts to automate system processes (i.e. shell scripts, Perl, Python, Puppet)• Experience with the development and integration of technical solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud capabilities• Understanding of Content Delivery Networks (CDN)• Understanding of search engines and search engine optimization• Understanding of Kubernetes or other containerization platforms
